Save India

· Forget Stupid Politicians, Save India, Citizens make their nation not Politicians alone
Save India
U CAN MAKE A HUGE DIFFERENCE TO THE INDIAN ECONOMY BY FOLLOWING FEW SIMPLE STEPS.
Please spare a couple of minutes here... for the sake of India ... our country.
It's true, we can see this in day to day life,
Small example,
Before 5 months 1 US $ = IND Rs 39
After 5 months. Now it is 1 $ = IND Rs 50
Do you think US Economy is booming? No, but Indian Economy is Going Down.

Our Economy is in u'r hands

INDIAN economy is in a crisis. Our country like many other ASIAN countries is undergoing a severe economic crunch.
Many INDIAN industries are closing down. The INDIAN economy is in a crisis and if we do not take proper steps to control those, we will be in a critical situation.

More than 30000 crore rupees of foreign exchange are being siphoned out of our country on products such as cosmetics, snacks, tea, beverages... etc which are grown, produced and consumed here.

A cold drink that costs only 70 / 80 paisa to produce is sold for NINE rupees, and a major chunk of profits from these are sent abroad. This is a serious drain on INDIAN economy.

We have nothing against Multinational companies, but to protect our own interests we request everybody to use INDIAN products only for next two years. With the rise in petrol prices, if we do not do this, the rupee will devalue further and we will end up paying much more for the same products in the near future.

What you can do about it?

1. Buy only products manufactured by WHOLLY INDIAN COMPANIES.

2. ENROLL as many people as possible for this cause.

Each individual should become a leader for this awareness.
This is the only way to save our country from severe economic crisis. You don't need to give-up your lifestyle. You just need to choose an alternate product.

All categories of products are available from WHOLLY INDIANCOMPANIES.

Indians in India

· How come NO Indians in INDIA even after 60+ yrs of Independence Really Bullshit

An American visited India and went back to America
Where he met his Indian friend who asked him
How did u find my country ?
The American said it is a great country
With solid ancient history
And immensely rich with natural resources.
The Indian friend then asked ….
How did u find Indians …….??
Indians??
Who Indians??
I didn't find or meet a single Indian
There in India…….
What nonsense ??
Who else can u meet in India then……??
The American said ……..
In Kashmir I met a Kashmir–
In Punjab a Punjabi—
In Bihar, Maharastra, Bengal, Tamilnadu
I met a Bihari, Marathi, Bengali, Tamilian………
Then I met
A Muslim,
A Christian,
A Jain,
A Buddhist
And many many many more
But not a single Indian did I meet
…………………………………………………………..
Think how serious this joke is……………..
The day would not be far off when indeed we would
Become a collection of nation states as some
Regional anti-nationals want ...
Fight back -
Always say we are Indians……..

India and Problems In India

India and Problems In India

1) EDUCATION :

First and the worst problem in EDUCATION.
Article from some govt. official website :

“In 2002/2003, an estimated 82% of children in the age group of 6-14 were enrolled in school. The Government of India aims to increase this to 100% by the end of the decade. To achieve this the Government launched Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan.”

Facts and HOLES in education System(oops I shouldnt write this)

If one can write his/her name correctly in any language is considered to be educated or literate.

Student politics is also a major issue, as many institutions are run by politicians.

Ragging used to be a major problem in colleges

Engineering, medical and other lucrative seats are sometimes sold for high prices and ridden with nepotism and power-play.

The presence of a number of education boards (SSC, ICSE, CBSE, IB) leads to non-uniformity.

Unemployment:

Frequent Riots :

(Hindu-Muslim riots)It really make me feel very sad. Noone want it but it is all due to some leaders for their personal benefits. I hope someday they will end all such things.
Message : Be one and strong or split and weak??? Choice is yours!!!
CASTE SYSTEM:
The Hindu caste system is ordered hierarchically, with Brahmins at the top and Sudras at the bottom. Untouchables, also known as Harijans or Dalits, fall outside of the caste system all together.

Dalit (untouchable) children often have limited opportunities in the caste system.

“Common Problem in india?

1. The biggest problem is the social and political structures which does not allow talented people in both upper classes and lower classes to take hold of leadership in industry and politics. The caste situation is employed as a disingenuous tactic to divert the focus away from the main issue: lack of management of resources and need of a meritocracy. The caste system is just a red herring. The reality is that by continously strumming the harp on how bad the caste divide is, and then bringing inefficient (though politically powerful and wealthy) people from the so-called lower classes into pivotal positions, where they are bound to fail, and then generalizing that lower classes should not be given authority just proves nothing. It merely reiterates that we just are not good enough and ALSO that we dont want to do anything about it. So, in my opinion, enough on wallowing about the demerits of the great caste divide, focus on merit, ingenuity and hardwork. Reservations in educational institutions should be by economic category not caste-based. Give jobs on merit only.

• What India Vision 2020 means to you as an Indian

Here's what Bill Gates should be asking an
Indian of his age by Now ...
Hope all kids are listening ...
It should not come as a surprise that the magnitude/zeal/enthusiasm with which you celebrate Independence Day should be directly proportional to the purpose of your creation.

Lets Find Out How Well Tuned you are for achievement of Indian Interests ...

Lets say what "Mission: India Developed Vision 2020 should mean to you"?What should India Vision 2020 mean to you?

The Day $50/- barely manages to face Re1/-

The day Indians start outsourcing to the U.S (turn the tables).
(Hey you MBA HR done from India), Have you recruited a Foreigner instead of opting to be a BPO slave?

The day Indians become wildly aggressive Venture Capitalist Business World Corporate Warriors & Entreprenneurs rather that mere Job Seekers.

The day DARPA & DoD start learning lessons from DRDO the hard way round about the art of war based on offensive deception & stealth technology.

The day when NASA bows down before ISRO to learn its eficient operations secret & technological prowess.

The day Superstars of Bollywood Rock Hollywood.

The day Indian Citizens Intellect starts matching that of a Global Citizens, who invests not just in domestic market, but also abroad (Stock Markets, Have you started?)

The day when Indians start Buying Foreign R&D units instead of selling them, (like Ranbaxy Selloff Misadventure)

The day NIA, CBI, CID, RAW + Unified Identity Management System integrate together their work flow processes, and their classified secret agents begin to drive India's Growth capitalizing on the opponents blind spots.

The day Indians stop saluting Indian Flag on Independence & Republic Days, not because they dont respect it, but because, living life like jokers, they have done no R&D/innovations/contributions for it.

The whole of India starts speaking one language, Universal Languages like English and/or National Language for India's United Development in Indian Interests, because, its a secured Democratic Centralized Demilitarized Zone, No Code languages (regional/devanagiri) needed here.

The day Indians start merging (reducing) the No of states in India.

The day Govt of India gifts its Indian Citizens a Directory based Search Engine which has not been created just for Visualization, but for providing a framework on which Citizens can rely on using programmatic Data Import/Export formats through Web Services APIs/CSV/XML Formats.

The Day RTI applications become file-able from your Mobile's Web Browser using M-Commerce & Unified Identity Management System based on Services Oriented Architecture as underlying frameworks.

The day other nations start approaching India & not the other way round every time, for tech Transfer & Joint Strategic R&D projects not necessarily for fulfillment of mutual interests, but for the interests of humanity & mankind.

Indians start manufacturing & start fabrication business units of electronic Microprocessors & Nano Chips not merely Integrated Circuits that are ages ahead of Intel/AMD's R&D.
The Day HAL starts manufacturing sophisticated Jet Engines in India for Civilian/Military Applications.

The day Indians first apply for their Voter Card integrated with Unified Identity Management System and only then, apply for passports & Visas.
The No of Job Generators/Providers outnumber the No of Job Seekers in India (Psychologic transformation of thinking of Indian Minds)

Annual Exports exceed Annual Imports of Goods, Indians become Providers, not mere plain jane Consumers.

That day should be called "India Vision 2020 Mission Accomplished"

What’s this blog for?

You may believe or not! India is poised to be the next superpower of this world! Thanks to its huge population of younsters and sharp brained people. Indian Companies have started to shed off its fears and taking strides to make its presence felt all over the world. India is very well equipped with the best brains of the world, we people have strong focus on maths and science, two papers which is very much important for any country to progress.
India is a model for democracy. This model and the stability of the structure is envyed by its neighbours. Take for example the countries in the Indian subcontinent- nearly all countries are reeling under its own internal crisis, coups and military rule except India.
I shall regularly post contents on this blog about the present political situation of India. Am not going to spoil the name of this great country like journalists who have no other work other than projecting people of Gujarat as butchers. They just ignore the positive aspects and development factors all for the sake of increasing the rating of their news channels.
Jai Hind!

Rising and Shining India

TATA has made India proud

Tata is not just another big company running after money! TATAs started their business somewhere in 1907 when JRD Tata founded the steel plant in Jamshedpur to make India self independent. This was the pioneer steel plant of our country and the first in private sector. TISCO (Tata Iron and Steel Company) still gives a high efficiency and output compared to other steel plants under the SAIL (Steel Authority of India)
Tata’s are not just in steel sector but in numerous others. They include Automobile(TELCO), Salt, Jewelery ,Consultancy (Tata Consultancy Services) and more. It is one of the few group which sees its employees as assets rather than just workers. All trade unions are also satisfied with the administration. Tata’s are also in charity service, you may or may not get enough salary while working with Tata but surely you would get job satisfaction as they provide lots of facilities to its employees.
Once in a interview of Chairman Ratan Tata, he was asked why was “He rolling out the 1 lakh car” ? The reply was with an emotional touch – “Once I was going through the streets of Jamshedpur in my car. It was raining outside. I saw a family going on a scooter and getting wet all over. At that moment it striked my mind that ‘Cant I do anything for these people?’”. This was the humanity which lies deep rooted inside the Tatas. This is the reason why they have risen so much and why the assets of JRD Tata are intact. Tatas donate a lot of money for charity service. Maybe this is the reason why God is also with them.
May God be with them!

Indian Brain ! India Shining

Indian Brain . . .
This is not a story but a true incident that happened in USA. An Indian man walked into a bank in New York City one day and asked for the loan officer. He told the loan officer that he was going to India on business for two weeks and needed to borrow $5,000.

The bank officer told him that the bank would need some form ofsecurity for the loan. The Indian man handed over the keys to a new Ferrari parked on the street in front of the bank. He produced the title and everything checked out.

The loan officer agreed to accept the car as collateral for the loan. The bank's president and its officers all enjoyed a good laugh at the Indian for using a $250,000 Ferrari as collateral against a $5,000 loan.

An employee of the bank then drove the Ferrari into the bank's underground garage and parked it there. Two weeks later, the Indian returned, repaid the $5,000 and the interest, which came to $15.41. The loan officer said, "Sir, we are very happy to have had your business, and this transaction has worked out very nicely, but we are a little puzzled. While you were away, we checked you out and found that you are a multi millionaire. What puzzles us is, why would you bother to borrow "$5,000" The Indian replied: "Where else in New York City can I park my car for two weeks for only $15.41 and expect it to be there when I return'"

Ah, the brain of the Indian... This is why India is shining . .

Rampant economic growth and poverty in India –two sides of the same coin

I am an enthusiastic, dynamic, hard working young Indian, part of the India rising and a strong believer in the globalization and liberalization. I am very optimistic about the future economic prospect of India and above everything else I am proud to be part of the Rising India. But the recent media reports about the suicide of debt ridden poor farmers in Vidarbha, starvation deaths in Orissa, and an overwhelming 836 million people in India live on a per capita consumption of less than Rs 20 a day, has startled me to take stock of the situation and introspect.

Booming economy and market – One side of the coin

India a country not so long ago known only as a highly spiritual, fascinating third-world country has embraced the globalization and liberalization of the economy in the past two decades. This is yielding high economic dividends with a flourishing and competitive service sector and a moderately growing industrial sector. This has the effect of constantly changing urban landscape with glittering and swanky shopping mall, high quality and comfy multiplexes, classy and glossy advertisement board, one of the fastest growing aviation sectors, grand and glassy commercial complexes, world class residential real estate, internet and cell phones at everybody’s reach and the list goes on and on. Now India is the second fasted growing economy of the world, fourth largest economy in terms of purchasing power parity, and part of so called future tri-polar world along with China and United States as the superpowers. The awe-inspiring economic progress has awakened the world to India’s potential as a global player. The rich and middle class with ever increasing disposable income are demanding high quality services and facilities fueling the growth of prominent sectors such as infrastructure, telecom, real estate and banking. But achievement creates new challenges and one of the most important is expending the benefit of this exponential growth across demography and geography.

Poverty - The other side of the coin

The media reports in the last few days have startled me.

In a T.V. channel I saw the documentary film about an enormous toll of cotton farmer suicides at a rate of about one every eight hours - three per day in 2006. The farmers take loans from private parties for genetically modified seeds, fertilizers and pesticide for higher productivity rather than the self grown seeds. And hope for a good monsoon and resultant harvest. Even if they get a good monsoon, the prices the produce fetch is low to make a living. So eventually in the absence of good government support systems the debt ridden farmers commit suicide in despair.

Then I read the article about how the villagers in part of Orissa grappling with the poverty, food and contaminated drinking water also had to suffer the outbreak of diarrhea and gastroenteritis that had already claimed more than 100 lives. Along with that there is shortage of doctors in that area. There are only two doctors where the sanctioned number is twelve.

After that there was another article on the statistics that 836 million Indians live on less than 20 rupees per day. This is the findings of the Arjun Sengupta report on the Conditions of Work and Promotion of Livelihood in the Unorganized Sector. And between the period 1993-94 and 2004-05 this number rose by 100 million.

A recent World Bank report documented the persistence of extremely high levels of malnutrition in India: among the middle-income group more than half of children were underweight (less than two standard deviations below the norms of weight for age)

Expending the benefit of this exponential growth

So in one hand we have the booming economy and in the other hand we have the abject poverty. They are like two sides of the same coin, different but coexisting in the same set of environment. The growth story of India is mostly urban centric and the rural population is still derived of the basic necessity such as food, cloth and shelter. Rural population in India is 72.22% and the contribution to the GDP from the agricultural sector is 19.9% (2006 est.) where as 60% of the total labor force is employed in the agricultural sector. Perhaps the most disappointing part of the growth story has been the performance of the agricultural sector. In the period 2002/03 and 2004/05 the agricultural sector grew by 1.3% - against the Tenth five year plan target of 4%. With the rapid growth in the service and industrial sector there will be continued migration of the rural population to the urban areas in search for better livelihood. This migration is claimed to be the largest ever migration in known human history. But migrating majority of the rural population to urban areas is simply a nonstarter, considering the humongous 742 million (2001 census) rural populations. So how do we extend the benefit of this exponential growth to the rural population and poor?

India is now a booming economy with growing gaps. The government really needs to address the imbalances in the pattern of growth. There are too few jobs; some of the states are lagging behind, section of the population not part of the growth story, abysmal performance of the agricultural sector.

Reviving the agricultural sector

There is a slowdown in the agricultural sector and it has lopsided effect on the rural economy, employment and wages. The yields on many crops in India are still half or less than half of the comparator countries. Major policy initiatives are needed in the following areas to accelerate the productivity on agricultural sector:
Intensification of the crops with irrigation, mechanization, agro-chemical etc.
Shift to more profitable crops i.e, fruits, medicinal plants etc and livestock.
Emphasis on value addition: Agro processing, trading etc.
The increase in productivity would reduce the number of people to be employed in agriculture. And hence long term strategy in off farm activities.
Fair access to the market and social security measures such as Insurance and micro credit facilities.

Equalize growth

The success of India is not shared equally. And hence along with the actions required for rapid growth there is need for actions that are required for promote rapid growth in areas that needed the most.
There are constraint factors that concern the equitable and aggregate growth are;
Infrastructure both social (such as education, health) and larger physical ( such as road, power supplies and water),
The fiscal deficit,
Labor laws,
Financial sector.
The government should take necessary policy decisions to overcome these obstacles.

With achievement comes challenges and with every challenge there are opportunities. The economic reforms were supposed to have the trickle down effect on all sections of the society. There is need for proper governance, fiscal accountability and the political will power along with all the development initiative to foster the equalizing accelerators to overcome disparity and promote inclusive growth. We as citizen of this young nation would not like in the long run to have (a) rapid economic growth and (b) Poverty, to be two side of the same coin.

Ramayana-still relevant in today's society

Preparations for Ramleela are on. Dussehra is just a few months away. As usual effigies of the demons shall be consigned to flames. Thousands of people around the country especially in north India gather at corner- stage- shows to watch Ram Leela – story of Ramayana during Navratras ten days prior to Dussehra - enacted by stage artists since ages- year after year. New serials depicting the same story of Lord Rama are launched and old ones are repeated on the small screen but no let up in the popularity is found and viewers make it a point not to miss any of the episodes.

What is special? The Ramayana is a story of human relations. No other book in the world over has ever defined the idealism in human relationship so precisely as Ramayana. Ram as an ideal son and an ideal king, Bharat and Laxman as ideal brothers, Sita as an ideal wife, Monkey king Sugreev as a friend in need, Hanuman as an ideal devotee (servant) and Ravana –an enemy in the true sense of the word – all these characters of Ramayana have ever remained a torch bearer for the society in the past and shall ever remain for the times to come as far as the human relations are concerned.
If Ram as an ideal son sacrificed the princely comforts and the throne of Ayodhaya to keep the word of his father, Bharat waited for his elder brother Ram to complete his exile to handover the kingdom and never enjoyed the palatial comforts during those 14 years. Newly wed Sita set an example as an ideal wife for the generations to come by accompanying Ram to his exile. Laxman sacrificed his married life andother princely comforts and too accompanied his elder brother to the jungle.Hanuman’s character shall ever remain exemplary for master- servant relationship. Sugreev proved the proverb true to its meaning that “a friend in need is a friend in deed”.
The idealism and values of human relations still find relevance in today’s social set up as these have become most wanting in today’s society. Nuclei families are replacing the age old joint family system. Material values are reigning supreme over the human values. We know a person by his status and material holdings. Human values have deteriorated to an extent of a son killing his father for property, wife eliminating her husband to facilitate an extra marital affair, brothermurdering brother to grab his share of property and daughter in connivance with her husband eliminating her parents and brother to become the only legal heir of the leftover estate. Defiance in the son-father relationship is pervasive. The former reasoning it to generation gap tells the later to mind his businessby saying "it is my life”.

Individualism in behavior and denial and disrespect to the human values has led to extreme intolerance in individuals. Set aside helping some one on the road, a car driver is thrashed to death just for asking side from a driver ahead of him.
Individuals have become so selfcentered that there seems to be no interaction with even next door neighbor. Living a shell like life, people are so disinterested even in street, mohalla, locality that the integrated social fabric in a country like India comprising numerous communities, religions seems to have become a distant affair. Lack of brotherhood is indirectly helping the vested interests to have their way individing the society in the name of sects, religions and regions.
Disintegration in the societyis so widespread that one just passes by leaving the accident victim to die on the roadside. Gap between parents and children is so wide that a daughter and domestic servant are hammered to death in the adjoining room in the house and parents come to know only in the morning. And the dual murder becomes a mystery to solve for the intelligence agencies of the country. Elders in the families are considered as liability and left to help themselves. Number of old age homes is on the rise. The younger lot has no time to care and maintain old parents.
Contrary to the concept of RamRajya exhibited in Ramayana, the rulers are conniving with criminals to loot public. Corruption is on the rampage. Leave others aside, even the decisions of judiciary can be thought to be influenced by money power. Elected representative are on sale to share power at any cost. Politicians don’t even spare the sensitive religious issues from capitalizing for vote bank.

Terrorism is another face of inhumanity. Killing innocents, attacking worship and crowded places has become the modus operandi by the terrorists’ groups to inflict maximum causalities for settling scores among enemy countries.
We watch Ram Leela and epic serials very keenly. A few intellectuals may even challenge a scene or event enacted for its veracity but how many of us try to imply the moral of the epic in our lives and propagate in the society.
Family is a smallest unit of social fabric. Individualism in the family disintegrates the society. Human relations, if valued and respected properly, can prove to be vital in building a well webbed society free of knots of ego, selfishness and false pride. Wejust need to go a little above individualism. An individual is known by his different characters in the society viz. a son, a father, a brother, a husband,a friend, a neighbor and so on. Let us be true to each of the roles assigned to us by the God.
